Bisant

Rare Earths along with Bismuth, Calcium and to a lesser extent Aluminum arethe inoculating elements in this Ferro-Silicon based master alloy. Thecombination of Rare Earths and Bismuth give an increased number of small,well shaped nodules within ductile iron.These inoculants are available as 62 and 72% Si-based ferroalloys with defined levels of bismuth and calcium.

Advantages

Lower addition rate of Inoculant

- higher nodule count

- Reduced risk for micro shrinkage and carbide formation even in thin section

- increased ferrite for ductile iron.

- In addition, it is also a good foundry practice to have a high potency inoculant in the final stage of pouring.
