The Nimag Group of Companies can trace its origins back to 1962, where the manufacture of Nickel Magnesium Master Alloys commenced in the small town of Magaliesburg, some 75km west of Johannesburg, South Africa. Main Advantages:
Elimination of separate Magnesium treatment, Efficient Magnesium treatment with no flare and minimal loss, Longer fading time & better Nodularity
An addition of 0.4% CuMag will give 0.032% Mg(better fading than Mg from FeSiMg, hence lower final target of Mg 0.030 to 0.035%, reduces the risk for shrinkage) (depending on S content, high S will reduce the Mg recovery) and 0.32%Cu in the final Iron.
